Terms & Conditions

Guitar Cabin @ Guitar Repairs South London.com (Guitar Cabin) treats customer service as a priority and makes every effort to provide a good quality, reliable and personal service to all it's customers.

In the interests of clarity, Guitar Cabin provides these general Terms and Conditions (T&C's), they're not exhaustive, and in the interests of maintaining good customer service are subject to change without notice however this website publishes the current T&C's in force.

Using the services of Guitar Cabin means the customer's acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Note: All items for repair or estimate must be brought by the Customer to Twang Guitars, (see Contacts page) unless otherwise agreed with Guitar Cabin. The Customer must contact Guitar Cabin in advance of doing so, failure to do so means Guitar Cabin cannot be held responsible or warrant for any work done or for responsibility of your inst rument.
Guitar Cabin does not provide customers with an instrument valuation service for resale or for insurance purposes.
 
Estimates & Repairs

All items sent in for repair or service should be well protected e.g. in a case or boxed and have your customer contact details and a fault description enclosed with the item. Do not send in items without first having contacted Guitar Cabin. Any items left without earlier agreement may not be accepted and could result in being returned to the customer. If you change Contact number, please advise Guitar Cabin and ideally provide a second contact number or email address.

A verbal or written estimate will be provided free of charge that covers parts & labour.

Estimates rely on the price and availability of necessary parts at the time of the request. Cost of parts may vary depending on their availability and time of ordering.

The Estimate is provided on the understanding that it may be subject to change as work progresses as sometimes further issues unfold during the repair or diagnostics. Customers will be kept informed of any significant changes during the course of the work. Work will be held pending until the Customer sanctions any additional work if it's of material change to the original quotation.

If the revised estimate has been refused or additional parts are no longer available or the Customer changes his/her mind, the Customer is liable for the full payment of the work carried out so far.

Guitar Cabin maintains a small stock of commonly used parts, however with the vast array of new & old guitars, we cannot maintain every kind or brand and generally speaking, replacement parts of same brand (where available) or similar quality will be ordered to meet the repair.

For high value parts, advance payment may be required if the customer is not known to Guitar Cabin.

Intermittent faults e.g. electrical issues can be very difficult to diagnose. Work will only be accepted on the understanding that there is no guarantee of a successful outcome and if the fault re-occurs, then work will only continue if the customer sanctions the additional work and/or parts to rectify the issue.

Guitar Cabin aims to complete repairs & or setups as quickly as possible, I will provide an approximate time when the repair will be ready which depends on current work volume and the availability of spares.

Guitar Cabin will do it's utmost to meet urgent repairs, in general, work is carried out on a first in, first out basis. Customers should make contingency plans in the event of an unforeseen delay. Guitar Cabin, will manage the relative priority of the work pipeline to try to meet the estimate where given.
 
Payment & Collection

All payments, unless otherwise agreed, must be paid on or before the item is collected by the Customer. Items cannot be released until full payment has been received. Only Cash,  PayPal Here card payments or for larger payments, bank transfer will be accepted. Guitar Cabin does not accept personal cheques.

Repaired items will not be released to third parties, you must provide personal identification that matches the contact name provided when the repair was submitted. You may be asked to sign for safe receipt and you’ll be able to view/test your instrument.

When your instrument is ready for collection, Guitar Cabin will contact you by phone or email as specified when the instrument was submitted. Guitar Cabin will let you know from what date the instrument is available from Twang Guitars for collection. The Customer will inform the approximate date the instrument is expected  to be picked up (during shop working hours only)

If the instrument is not collected within four weeks it may be removed from Twang Guitars and stored offsite for up to three months. A holding fee incurs @ £2 per week after the initial four week period of being notified the repair was ready. Beyond three months, the property shall pass to Guitar Cabin if the full cost of the repair has not been paid with any additional charges. Instruments may on arrangement be held longer than the initial four week free of charge period by prior request for example to attend hospital or on a long holiday.

Warranty

Guitar Cabin warrants any repair made shall be free of defect in material and workmanship for the period of six calendar months after collection of the Product by the Customer

This warranty does not cover any other faults not reported by the Customer or prior work not carried out by Guitar Cabin or any new unrelated faults or breakages developed during the warranty period.

This warranty excludes wear and tear (such as crackly pots or jacks), physical damage, any damage due to incorrect use or misuse and any damage due to unauthorized repair or attempt to repair by the Customer or another party.

Any new components fitted by Guitar Cabin will be guaranteed as per a manufacturer's guarantee if one is available, however, no guarantees are offered on second-hand or Customer supplied parts or accessories.

Limitations

All Customer property entrusted to Guitar Cabin/Twang Guitars will be treated with care and consideration. In any instances of loss/damage, Guitar Cabin liability will only be limited to the value of the specific items that were entrusted.

By accepting these T&C’s you are engaging with Guitar Cabin @ Guitar Repairs South London.com, no liability, warranty, charge or responsibility is extended to Twang Guitars who solely offer Guitar Cabin and it’s Customers the facility & convenience of a Customer drop off & pick up of repairs and to accept payment of repairs on behalf of Guitar Cabin @ Guitar Repairs South London.com.

The Customer should ensure they have and retain a receipt for their instrument/item and any payment receipts. Guitar Cabin @ Guitar Repairs South London.com & Twang Guitars accept no liability for instruments/items purported to have been left or repaired unless a valid receipt/payment receipt is provided.

Data Protection

Guitar Cabin will not share any Customer data with third parties, however, Guitar Cabin and Twang Guitars will exchange Customer contact data for the purpose of administration of the repairs and keeping Guitar Cabin Customers informed.
